Little Bird Tales is an Online tool and iPad app for creating multimedia stories. It is Ad free, with no merchandising, and no external links. It includes an Art Pad, Build a Tale, and image uploading, and includes hundreds of Online K-6 Lessons! This is a great digital storytelling app for grades K-6.
How Does Little Bird Tales Work?
1) First go to Little Bird Tales, create an account and sign in. Then go to the Class Manager and add your class.
2) Create your story, give it a title, and create your cover page.
3) Next, create your cover page by uploading images or by making your own. Note: It is a good idea to store any pictures or slides for your story in a folder on your desktop. This keeps all of your supplies in one easy to find place.
The side menu on the right shows you what you have already created so you can track your progress. You can also rearrange the order of your pages here.
4) Illustrate your story by using the Art Palette tools or upload your own pictures. Type in the text of your story and
record your narration.
5) You can preview your story at any time. Drag and drop your pages to change their order.
6) Click on the button to view your story and listen to your narration. Make sure you turn the volume all the way up.
Sharing your Little Bird Tale
1) Look under "My Tales" to see the drop down menu. This is where the "Share" tab is found.
2) You can share with people by typing in their email. Make sure you add a subject and a message. Then click the "Share" button.
Here is an example, although the sound didn't turn out like we wanted.
